The Animals
Whilst living in Beaconsfield we have had the pleasure of looking after the animals. We have seen new additions to the family, Chops the lamb being the first. We found him and his mother Mary shortly after he was born on a stormy night, right at the bottom of one of the paddocks. We had to coax Mum and baby up to the shed so they could shelter from the cold. Monica the black and white cat was another addition to the ever growing family. She was a stray and was adopted while we were away in New Zealand. Thinking she was a kitten due to her size we all had a shock when it turned out she was actually a 6 year old cat and she was pregnant! A few weeks later we saw the arrival of 3 kittens. Two black and one tortoiseshell. All of them have now gone to loving homes. Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend a great deal of time with BJ the cat before he passed away. R.I.P BJ
The dogs/babies, Billy and Kya have given us hours of entertainment with their antics. They both have wonderful personalities and are very loving and loyal. Phoebe, lived with us in the cottage. She decided to move out of the main house when Monica arrived with the kittens. She’ll move back eventually.
