Once Nick had completed his diving course in Cairns we started to make our way down the East coast through the tropics. Most of the journey from now on will be on the main highways. We had to make a stop off in Townsville, to see friends from Guernsey and to give the wagon a well needed service. Now the wet season was really on its way and we experienced some heavy downpours and moody looking skies. With the wet season looming we we now had to race against time to get down the coast before things started getting wetter! The total distance travelled on this leg of the journey was 2256kms.
