From our home in Melbourne to Port Augusta

This was the start of a very long journey and one which was only a dream when we arrived in Brisbane back in March 2012. We will be saying goodbye to our home here in Melbourne, where we have lived since April 2012.

From Melbourne we headed North West on the Western Highway making our way towards Adelaide. We decided to take a de-tour through the Grampians which was well worth the extra kilometres. The total distance of the first leg of our journey was 1092 km.

Total Distance: 1092km

We had to prepare ourselves for life back on the road, taking lots advice from locals and researching the areas we will be travelling through. We were sent an e-mail with lots of useful hints and tips when camping. We will be using a few of these ideas. Thanks Cam Nicholls! CLICK HERE TO VIEW
