Singapore - May 2016

Shoppers paradise!

We could only afford to spend one night in Singapore and to try and keep the costs down we ended up booking a hotel in the red light district. Our hotel booked rooms by the hour! Having said that the location was great and we were close to the subway which meant we could travel around easily. We took a trip to Marina Bay sands and walked through the massive shopping centre with a canal that runs through the middle. At Gardens at the Bay we watched the light show and spent some time walking around the beautiful gardens. Even though the weather wasn’t great we took a trip to China Town and visited Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and sampled some vegan cake at a vegan bakery nearby. Our hotel very kindly looked after our bags for us while we were out for the day exploring the city.
